Taiwanese have been brainwashed since birth: don't get involved in politics. So those got into politics are mostly the clans or children of KMTs. Remember Diana Lee, the daughter of Lee Hwan? In the media, KMT teases that DPP has no talents. In fact, Taiwanese should simply counter Chinese KMT's propaganda and brainwashing: learn about politics, stay on top of the political situation and events, and get involved in politics whenever possible. Be the ones that are in charge, not the ones being tamed...

Let me share some story here:
In 2002, I moved my operation from Fukien, China to Phuket, Thailand; my strategy was simple in that time- go southbound and away from China for a while. Most of my shrimp aquaculture friends have chosen to stay in China. Now, I have felt that I had made a right decision- quality of life, international exposures and alliances.
When I arrived in Thailand and have own a shrimp farm; one day the workers came to apply leaves. I asked them the reason; they relied that they were going back to vote. I answered OK and was happy to see the democratic movement in Thailand. Nevertheless, they said to me; “Oh no, my mom has taken THB1,500 from someone, and I need to show up.”
Goodness, the story reminded me in early 70’s; I was happy to finish my college study (In a remote village of Chia-Yih, I was the second one in the village.) In my life, the first time I was going to vote; sense of honor. Ready to go, my mom pulled aside and told me to vote number X; I asked why- alas, the money was taken.
I argued, “You’ve worked so hard and send me to university, and you spoiled your investment.” Responded by her, “Don’t argue, everyone is the same; if I don’t follow, they will say kau-kiaui and I lose friends. It has lasted a decade, every time is the same; partially to put for your school fee……#1?
Then my friend from Taipei told me her mom used to tell “Do Re Mi” to her; the finger print on ballots for fake record. (The school teacher did it and knew it was wrong; some end up psycho-somatic syndrome perhaps.)
That was/ is KMT’s true face- this party has damaged Taiwan’s moral foundation. Here I put the witness and remind the new generation- to be very careful; don’t be stupid like last generation!
